The UB255 is our tapered fit: roomy seat and thigh tapering to a narrow leg opening cut and sewn from 12.5oz black selvedge chino twill. Most chino fabrics weigh around 7-10oz per yard, but our burlier Black Selvedge Chino is closer to a standard weight denim at 12.5oz per yard. Signature blue ear selvedge ID. Unbranded leather patch. When looking for the perfect pair of jeans or pants, it is important to know how to measure them - especially if you are buying online. Grab the best fitting pair of pants you currently own and take it's measurements using the guide below. Now you'll know what to look for. Here is the Tate + Yoko guide to measuring your jeans.
Waist:
1) Button up the Jeans.
2) Lay the jean out flat with the top front edge of the waistband even with the top back edge of the waistband. Pull tightly.
3) Measure from one edge of the waistband to the other.
4) Double this measurement.
Front Rise:
1) Button up the jeans.
2) Lay the jeans flat.
3) Pull tightly together both the front rise and tape measure.
4) Measure from the crotch seam to the top of the waist band.
Back Rise:
1) Button up the jeans.
2) Lay the jeans flat.
3) Pull tightly together both the back rise and tape measure.
4) Measure from the crotch seam to the top of the waist band.
Thigh:
1) Lay the jeans flat.
2) Place the measuring tape at the far edge of the crotch seam.
3) From here, measure straight across to the outside edge of the jean.
Knee:
1) Lay the jeans flat.
2) Measure 12 inches from the crotch down the inside seam of the leg.
3) From the 12 inch mark, measure straight across the leg from one edge to the other.
Leg Opening:
1) Lay the jean flat.
2) Measure from one edge of the of the leg opening to the other.
Inseam:
1) Lay the jean with the inseam running down the center of the leg. Press flat.
2) Measure from the middle of the crotch stitching down the inseam to the bottom of the jean.
How We Measure Our Jackets
Pit to Pit:
1) Button up the garment.
2) Lay the garment out flat, face up with the arms in "T" shape.
3) Measure from the edge of the armpit sewing to the other.
Shoulder:
1) Button up the garment.
2) Lay the garment flat, front faced down and the arms in "V" shape.
3) Measure from one shoulder seam to the other.
Sleeve:
1) Lay the garment out flat.
2) Measure from shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
Length:
1) Lay the garment flat, front faced down, arms in "V" shape.
2) Measure from where the collar band attaches to the yoke, straight down the middle of the shirt to the longest point of the hem.
